About Meg P

I recently completed a personal training certification to continue my education and interests in wellness. I’m interested in fitness as a pathway to promote long-term positive health outcomes. I think that movement of all types can be good for our bodies and our minds and that when it stops making a positive impact, that’s when it’s time to alter your program and try new solutions. I understand that achieving goals is about prioritization, hard work, and finding what works well for each individual.

In elementary school, a physical education teacher told me that I was “never going to be good at sports and to just stop trying.” I went on to become a starter for an NCAA field hockey team, complete a triathlon, three marathons, and a few halves, 10ks, 5ks, etc. Over the past few years, I’ve been helping friends and family create workout plans that work well for them and I decided to take it to the next level and expand my experience. I have experience in powerlifting, endurance sports, HIIT training, resistance training, pilates, and more!

I’m a part-time trainer with a full-time job in government and am passionate about carbs, cheese, and the outdoors!

Training Philosophy
In my search for finding movement that works for my body, I've tried everything from endurance sports to yoga and dance to CrossFit and HIIT training. My personal approach is that what works for one person doesn't necessarily work well for someone else a

I think this depends on what the client’s goals are, their fitness background, and how much support they want in their workout regime. I’m always happy to demonstrate, walkthrough, or do a rep with a client. I see our work as collaborative and as a team. I want the programming to feel accessible, manageable, and open-ended. Any time a client has a question or feedback, I want to hear it and modify the program for what makes the most sense for each individual.
