Less Calories Does Not Equal Weight Loss

Most people who want to lose weight don’t rely grasp the understanding that more food is better than less. The old school thinking is less calories = more weight loss. That couldn’t be farthest from the truth. Think of your metabolism as a fireplace. The more logs in the fire the larger the flame. Now lets apply this theory to weight loss. My belief and with good results have been 5 small clean meals per day. Preferably every 3 hours. This helps to keep the metabolism stoked and burning throughout the day.

What is Clean Eating?

Fruits, vegetables and proteins from chicken or fish. Also broccoli and spinach contain high levels of protein. Dense carbohydrates such as bagels, muffins, rice pasta, white bread (or any bread for that matter) chips, crackers etc: will only expand your waistline. Drinking lots of water throughout the day will also help to flush fatty, toxic waste out of your system. Follow up with a good probiotic to keep those good bacteria in your gut.

When you don’t consume enough calories per day you actually change your metabolic set point to “slow”. Meaning your metabolism will slow down. Clean eating 5 times a day is like putting logs on the fire. You will keep that flame going or in this case your metabolism will start to incinerate excess weight/fat.
