About Didi Mckay
In the process of studying and practicing for my 500 HOur Yoga Teacher Training. Have studied and taught yoga internationally, and primarily in the USA.
My focus is gentler, meditative yoga. Have taught therapeutic yoga for special needs children in a school, chair yoga for seniors, family yoga in a museum, yoga at fitness clubs including Crunch, beach yoga and more, so very flexible and experienced with varied populations. I’m also a life coach for creative and transitioning adults who are changing careers, lifestyles, moving, divorcing or goal-setting for creative projects they want completed.

Typical Training Session
We always start by tuning in to the breath. We gradually warm up the body and “check in” to what our body needs on that day. Warming up includes stretches, often in a dynamic or moving way. We include balance poses, traditional yoga asana such as warrior and chair poses, and give them updated and flowing twists. MInd and body is always a consideration. We strengthen and lengthen and bring in influences of PIlates, sports, spinal twists and pranayama breathing exercises.

Plenty! Many of my clients come to yoga as beginners or with hang-ups and sometimes injuries. I encourage deep levels of tuning in to their own bodies, which helps going forward for them.
