About Coach

I am Coach Ryan, a Houston-based Restorative Health and Fitness Coach and the founder of Coach Ryan Fitness. My background is rooted in functional longevity and high-performance durability. I have experience working with a wide range of clients, from individuals seeking sustainable health changes to professional athletes—most recently working with NBA veteran Eric Gordon on his offseason preparation. My current aspiration is to expand my “Durability Coach” program, bridging the gap between restorative health and elite athletic performance to help every client build a body that lasts.

Training philosophy

My philosophy is centered on "Restorative Health." I believe fitness isn't just about exertion; it's about durability and function. I focus on training the body to perform optimally for a lifetime, not just a season.

A typical session

You can expect a session that prioritizes quality of movement and structural balance. Whether we are focusing on strength, mobility, or conditioning, every workout is designed with a “durability-first” mindset. My goal is to challenge you while ensuring that you leave the session feeling capable and restored, rather than just exhausted. We will also likely touch on lifestyle and nutritional habits to ensure you are supported outside of the gym hours.

Client success story

In the summer of 2025, I had the privilege of working as a coach for professional basketball player Eric Gordon, assisting him with his NBA offseason preparations. This experience allowed me to apply my restorative and durability-focused principles at the highest level of athletics, ensuring he was physically prepared for the rigors of another professional season. It was a testament to the fact that foundational health and functional strength are vital for everyone, from everyday clients to world-class athletes.
