Super BowlNew England Patriots Win 4th Super Bowl!

Congratulations to Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and the New England Patriots for their victory!

Super Bowl XLIV will certainly go down in history as one of the best ever. New England staged a triumphant 4th quarter comeback which almost went for naught thanks to a highly questionable play-call by Seattle at the end of the game. If you watched the game like the majority of the American population did, then you probably didn’t have salad and chicken breast on your dinner plate. Statistics indicate that Super Bowl Sunday is the second-largest day of food consumption in the United States behind Thanksgiving. Pizza orders are through the roof, and nearly 28,000,000 pounds of chips, 90 million chicken wings, and 8 millions pounds of guacamole are consumed during the Super Bowl. I’m no registered dietician, but that’s more than the doctor ordered.

With the Super Bowl in the rear view, we can also say goodbye to January; The New Years Resolution month… You remember making a resolution, right? You told yourself that you would go to the gym four days a week after work. Are you keeping that up? Statistics show that 64% of resolutioners keep up with their self-promises, which isn’t a bad percentage at all. That said, the number drops to 44% after 6 months. There are many reasons why resolutions don’t last the entire year. The fact is, life gets in the way. If your plan was to maintain a consistent workout program but all you’re seeing from your gym membership is a monthly withdrawal from your bank account, it might be time for you to seek out an alternative.
