About Nari Garrett

I am passionate, dedicated and serious about fitness and health. This is mainly due to my own personal journey with health and fitness. I used to be 300lbs. I lost weight through my own merit of pushing myself without any prior knowledge to fitness.

I’ve transformed my body through the years using this dedication which lead me into the studying the exercise science field in college where I earned My Bachelors Degree.

After graduating I’ve trained athletics such as myself – college basketball teammates and average people alike. I pay close attention to detail while emphasizing the importance of foundations in training/safety.

I believe having passion, knowledge, confidence in and true care for your clients is the key to success in this industry. From my own personal journey, I know those are qualities I searched for in others to pull myself up when things got hard.

Training Philosophy
I believe in simplicity, consistency, accountability and bravery. If you have these four in line for yourself, then you will be successful in anything you do. So I approach training the same way, especially consistency!

Training Professionally Since

Typical Training Session

In the beginning there will be a lot of teaching. I work on the foundations a lot as it sets you up to have a long, healthy and highly performative training lifestyle. It’s also good for safety. I pay close attention to detail and give cues on what’s to be corrected, but also allow my client to figure it out themselves after a certain point.

A standard session involves a 5-10 warm up to get the blood flowing and prepare the body/mind. Followed by a 45-50 min workout, then at least a 5 min cool down to aid with recovery and prepare your body for the next session/day.

To me training/working out is best effective when it happens with a focus in mind. So we always lock in on that focus, then use that as a means to push my client beyond their own “limits” when things get difficult.

I push my clients as I would push myself because I believe everyone is capable of great things and sometimes you just need someone to bring it out of you!

Client success story

I’ve helped a client lose 30lbs through only nutritional and habitual guidance. No working out. He achieved this in the span of 5 months!

I recently went out to Atlanta to help train a photographer for a month, during which time he lost 33lbs through specialized workouts, nutritional guidance, two a days with cardio and a proper sleep schedule.

Hobbies
Art as I’ve been drawing since I was 4 years old, video games, music, outdoor activities, basketball, football, volleyball and biking. I love to watch anime when I get the chance. Reading and increasing my knowledge in anyway is something I enjoy.
