About Michael Medvig


I have been successfully training clients in their homes for over 15 years and my hope is that you read my profile and realize that I am very different from most trainers. I am in my 50’s and I enjoy working with people who are in the same age range. Let’s just call it the 40-70 range.

The reason being is that I know what you are going through because I am going through it myself! We are getting aches and pains and not recovering as quickly as we used to. Did I forget to mention the weight is not coming off like it once did?

This is why I focus on corrective exercises, strength, mobility and weight loss. It is all tied together and you need someone who understands how to fix any issues you have. I provide complete stretching, nutrition and workout plans and I am happy to give you references.
P.S. My training style is more of a teacher. This is not boot camp and I won’t yell at you! I will always be honest, upfront and hold you accountable.

Typical Training Session

My workouts are 60 minutes and I want to get as much done as possible but I also want you to make this your time. Everyone is different and you will get a custom training program but the overall workout is always structured the same way. It will always be suited to your abilities and goals and will include mobility work, stretching and strength training. As you get more experienced we can add in cardio. I like to keep things fun and change up the workouts. This includes circuits and using kettlebells, sandbags, bands, weights and TRX suspension training. Don’t let any of this scare you. My job is to introduce things and show you the right way to use them because you never know what you are going to like. I was surprised by how many women in their 50’s and 60’s love sandbag workouts.


Client success story

Well the fastest one was fixing a guy’s shoulder before he hired me. I was talking to a couple and the husband looked very uncomfortable. One shoulder was noticeably higher than the other and he was shifting in his chair a lot. So I excused myself and came back with my bag of tricks. While we talked I had him do a few corrective exercises and we were able to get the pain from around a 7 or 8 to a 2 or 3. My mission in life is to help people so whether they hired me or not I wanted to get him out of pain and show him how to do this for himself.
