About Justin Wecker

Fitness has always been a part of my life, I love helping people achieve their goals!! I work hard and love to see people work hard as well. When I was 14 I was in a jet-ski accident with involving my best friend and I. I almost lost my leg, but the doctors were able to save my leg by inserting a titanium rod and 4 bolts in my femur bone. That experience really showed me to cherish what we have and never expect things to be handed to you. Before getting into personal training I helped friends get in shape. For a couple of years I went to school for nursing and found it wasn’t what made me happy, I then went to EMT school and found that still didn’t make me happy. I then went to school and received my certification for Phlebotomy; every time I went to school I always ended up back with what makes me happy- Fitness. After getting certified through PFTA for Nutrition and Personal Training, I went off to work for Fitness 19. I started as a personal trainer for about 6 months and then was promoted to Fitness Manager. After being Fitness Manager for 6 months I decided it was time to go on my own and started personal training. I taught personal training class for 3 years for people who want to become trainers and now own STRIVE to be FIT LLC. I love making people feel good about themselves!! The background behind fitness training means achieving fitness and balance on three levels: emotional (The Mindset), spiritual (The Motivation), and physical (The Movement). When I train someone I make sure they understand that this is a lifestyle change and they should incorporate fitness into their whole life. Nutrition should be the next part to your lifestyle change, there is no quick fix to fitness, diet’s are just a quick fix and lead to failure. Take a minute to look at the first three letters to Diet, “D-I-E”. When you train with me I look for ways to help you incorporate nutrition into your life.

Training Philosophy
Our mission is you! The person you are and the person you aspire to be both inside and out. We strive to help our clients achieve a successful balance of a healthy and realistic lifestyle.

Training Professionally Since
January 2, 2012

Typical Training Session

Every session I will push you! Whether it’s a physical day or a mental day, I will work hard to encourage you to be your best. My job is not to make you throw up or pass out, my job is to help you become a better you!! We always warm up according to what we are working that day and then we will get right into the fun part. Every session I will be there with you the whole way to make sure form is on point, and you’re not cheating yourself, the hardest thing most people have trouble with is pushing themselves as far as they need to be pushed.

Client success story

Lea B.- When I moved to Austin in 2014, I was still recovering from a back injury. I had 5 months of physical therapy but was still dealing with chronic pain. By some miracle I found Justin and after one session he knew what I needed to do. Justin designed workouts to strengthen and heal my back. Three months after starting with Justin my back pain was gone!
Justin not only helped with my recovery, but he’s helped with my strength, endurance, and nutrition. His versatility makes him the ideal trainer for any level- as you grow and change, he works with you to keep you challenged and making gains. This isn’t someone who can only to do the recovery side of it– and this isn’t a meathead who is going to load you up with weight and ask why you can’t do it.
Justin truly cares about YOU. He understands that fitness is a journey and he is there through the emotional work as well as the physical.
I went from a back injury, to squatting 200+ pounds and losing 8% body fat. It hasn’t been easy–there have been so many ups and downs, but Justin has kept me focused, calm, and believing in myself.

Hobbies
