About Daniel L

My fitness experience began at age 18 when I was encouraged by my college roommate to start lifting weights. Upon seeing the gains in muscle mass that he made over just a few months, I was eager to start. This led to a personal change where I not only gained significant size and strength, but also developed a passion for laser-focused development of human health.
My name is Daniel, and what I want is to guide others through the same exciting process that I went through and to free them of any uncertainty or insecurity they may otherwise feel if they work alone. Few things satisfy me more than mapping out a training plan for myself or a client and seeing progress culminate over the months.
The greatest barrier to physical fitness for many people is lack of social and informational support. As an NASM certified personal trainer, I intend to remove these barriers to help anybody with the desire to reach their fitness goals. I look forward to working with you!

Training Philosophy
The human body is a gift to be treasured by its recipient. We all have a responsibility to treat our gift with honor and respect through proper exercise and nutrition.

Training Professionally Since

Typical Training Session

Specifics will depend on variables such as the client’s health history and current level of physical ability.
Generally, a session will begin with a “warmup” wherein they will raise their body temperature to prepare for the main work.
The main work will consist of resistance training which, depending on the client’s current needs, may be focused on stability, muscular endurance, hypertrophy, maximal strength, or power.
All sessions must end with proper stretching to relieve the muscles of their tension.

Client success story

My first time teaching a youth fitness class, I had a 16 year old trainee named Alex. Alex was interested in playing football at his high school and wanted to get into shape for the sport’s physical demands.
As part of the class curriculum, I taught Alex how to perform the barbell bench press, barbell squat, barbell row, and a couple of assistance exercises. The program was simple and revolved around adding weight and repetitions to his barbell movements in a linear fashion over a few months.
His squat progressed from 55lbs for 5 reps to 160lbs for 12 in 4 months.
His bench press progressed from 55lbs for 5 reps to 140lbs for 8 reps in 4 months.
His barbell row progressed from 45lbs for 6 reps to 135lbs for 8 reps in 4 months.
All weight lifting was conducted with consistent technique.

Hobbies
My hobbies include martial arts (Muay Thai and MMA) and learning about history (books, documentaries etc.).
