Train out of your home – The trainer comes to you.
Melissa Browne is a yoga teacher (RYT-200, Hatha + Vinyasa), author, and passionate advocate for sober living, mental wellness, and everyday joy. She first discovered yoga as a high school senior in 1998, drawn to it for the physical benefits. Over the years, that practice evolved into something much deeper ~ a way to reconnect with herself, cultivate compassion, and find calm through life’s changes. In 2025, she completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training with YogaRenew, combining her personal history with formal study to bring authenticity and wisdom to her teaching.
Melissa’s classes weave together mindful movement, breathwork, and self-inquiry with a gentle dose of humor and honesty. She believes yoga isn’t just about flexibility, it’s about learning to stay present when life feels messy. Her teaching emphasizes balance that extends beyond the mat: resilience in the face of challenge, compassion in the face of self-judgment, and presence in a world that’s always rushing forward.
After choosing sobriety and sharing her experience in Wine Not? A Sober Mom’s Guide to Ditching the Drinks, Melissa became deeply passionate about how yoga and mindfulness can help break cycles, heal emotional wounds, and live with conscious intention. Now 45, she teaches from a place of experience as a mother, caregiver to her husband who lives with traumatic brain injury, and a woman who believes in growth at every age.
Based in Orlando, Florida, Melissa balances writing, teaching, and family life with a grounded, joyful spirit. Whether leading a workshop, crafting journaling prompts, or connecting with others online as @melissaunedited, her mission is simple: to help people breathe deep, live awake, and remember that it’s never too late to begin again.
