About Laura Weiner-Kiser

I’ve been a personal trainer for over 10 years. My journey started because I was overweight and I had suffered several injuries. I am so grateful for my journey because it has guided me towards my true passion, transforming peoples health into an empowered identity. I started seeing great results with teaching people about their body, but I wanted more because my clients did. I received my nutrition coaching certification 6 years ago and that’s when my success really took off. From there I continued to learn and develop and am now a Health Coach and Life Coach as well. I meet my clients where they are at and help them uncover ways to make healthy living enjoyable and empowering. It’s not about saying you can do this or you can’t do that. It’s about finding the right balance for you, your unique body and your lifestyle. I have yet to had a client not reach their goals and I am very proud of that. If you choose to work with me you get a teammate. I will be there to cheer you on, help you get back on track and celebrate you when you find your empowered identity!

Training Philosophy
I believe in looking at your health as a whole. That means including nutrition, sleep, stress, fitness, and mental health. I teach clients how to move their body no matter what their mood and how to make sure their body can stay safe.

Typical Training Session

When we meet we start with a brief warm up, which I explain the purpose of. We discuss how their body is feeling, where their head is and get an idea of what would be best for them during that session. Based on the information I gather during the warm up and taking their goals into consideration I put together a circuit and get to work. I’m big on understanding correct form. I make sure my clients understand the movements and what the right movement will feel like versus the wrong movement. I want to set my clients up for success so they can do my workouts with me or without me. During the session we examine the other areas of health. I normally have them on a specific action plan with set steps to help them achieve their goals. My action plans are action based habits my clients want to achieve to help them grow into the healthy person they desire. After reviewing their action plan there might be some chit chat, but normally we are towards the end of our session. At this time we cool down and stretch. We discuss what they need to focus on for that week and how we can make sure they succeed.

Client success story

I had a client who wanted to lose 20lbs and felt stuck. She had tried every diet and was working out so hard she was getting injured. She felt doomed. Within the first 3 months of us working together I explained how the body works inside to help her understand why she had been stuck on weight loss. She lost 10 lbs in the first 3 months and is now down 30 lbs after the first year of us working together. She is no longer in pain. I have explained how to balance her body for movement that will be aesthetically pleasing AND functional for the rest of her days. She loves the way she looks now and she enjoys working out. She feels more energized and free from the stress of body concerns.
