About Amy Divine


My name is Amy and I am a nationally certified Personal Trainer, Health Coach, and Fitness Nutrition Specialist through American Council on Exercise. I have been an in this profession for 4 years and thrive on improving the lives of my clients. I am also a certified Functional Patterns Practitioner and utilize this method with 100% of my training. This method is the blue print of how humans walk, run, and throw. All of the exercises that I implement are designed to target dysfunctions within the body, correct posture, increase mobility, rehab/prehab from chronic pain and injury, burn fat, increase muscle mass, increase agility, improve balance, and improve power output, improve and correct running form.

Training Philosophy
Train intentionally not habitually. No pain no gain is not in my vocabulary, exercise is meant to feel good and not be a painful experience.

Training Professionally Since

Typical Training Session

Sessions start by addressing restrictions or problem areas within the body by implementing self myofascial release (mfr). Following the mfr we will then go into an 8-10 minute dynamic warm up that reflects all patterns of our gait cycle. After warm up a 40 minute moderate to vigorous work out routine will be implemented tailored specific to fitness level, goals, and postural improvements.


Client success story

My big wins are getting my clients back to doing the activities they love. Nothing makes me happier than taking a client who was unable to walk a few blocks because of debilitating plantar fasciitis, to registering for marathons and running pain free and in only a few short months. Functional Patterns has the ability to really do some magical things for the body. When you reflect your training to your biological movements you really can leap mountains.


Hobbies
First and foremost, I love cats! I also love camping, hiking, kayaking, biking, traveling everywhere, sunshine, and Functional Patterns.
