About Amanda Monahan


I have been in the fitness industry for 8.5 years. I graduated from the University of Alabama in Dietitics to acquire my Registered Dietitian status. I then became a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM. I have a passion for learning and believe it is important to self educate continuously in this industry. I have certifications in kettlebells, sports nutrition, and behavioral coaching. My nutrition background allows me to address health concerns beyond your average trainer. I have extensive knowledge on supplementation for any goal. I also have a niche for gut health, auto-immunity disorders, and food sensitivities. My clients use me for strength training, cardio programming, corrective exercise, pre/post-surgery rehab, stretching, stress management, pre/postnatal exercise, and nutrition coaching. I provide education, accountability, support, and professional guidance for my clients. I am looking for new clients that are dedicated, positive and motivated to make a change for a healthier lifestyle.

Typical Training Session

Each session will be tailored to current goals for proper program design. The session will include warm up, strength training/cardio program, cool down with stretching. Nutrition guidance and accountability will be addressed during each session. Some sessions may revolve all around nutrition coaching/grocery tours or stretching/corrective exercise.


Client success story

One of my client success stories involves a husband & wife I train. The husband started working with me a year ago and lost 50 pounds in 6 months. He has maintained this weight loss for a year and continues to thrive. His wife started working with me 3 months ago and is down 20 pounds. She is now losing 2 pounds/week while having realistic exercise and nutrition goals with out starving, depriving, or doing extreme amounts of exercise.


Hobbies
My hobbies and interests include running, biking, swimming, triathlons, soccer, golf, being outdoors, football, and spending time with my family, friends & 2 dogs.
