About Steven Butler
Steven R. Butler, NFPT certified personal trainer. I have a background in athletics, playing basketball while in school. My specialties are speed and conditioning for sports but I am also an expert in fat loss and muscle gain. I have been a NFPT-CPT since 2005. I enter the profession in 1993 as an ACE certified personal trainer. In 1995 I left training to go back to school and then start work as a EMT. In 2005 I went back into training with NFPT. My fitness background includes participation on many different sports including football, basketball, track, and powerlifting. My specialty is speed and conditioning but I am a expert in fat loss and muscle gain. I enjoy being a trainer because I like to help people be the best that they can be and accomplish things that they never thought possible.

I could not recommend a better personal trainer. He is extremely knowledgeable with over 20 years experience. He is able to complete an assessment of your body type and tailor a workout specific to your abilities and goals. While pregnant with my second child, I gained over 50 pounds. After having my daughter, I looked at the scale and was devastated. I had no idea on how I would begin to lose the weight. I also had pain in my back from the epidural as well as all the aches and pain that is associated with giving birth. After getting clearance from my doctor, Steve put together a plan to get me back into shape. First, he took the time to not only take my weight on the scale, but also measured my body fat. Steven then discussed my level of activity as well as eating habits.
After taking all factors into consideration, he outlined a nutrition plan that I could easily understand and follow. Steven designed a workout, warm up included, that was targeted to assist with weight loss, lower body fat, as well as help alleviate the back pain caused from my epidural. Within a few weeks, there was a noticeable improvement. My back pain had completely diminished as well as the pain in my pelvic area. My core became stronger and started to return to its previous shape. Throughout the entire process, Steven continued be motivating and supportive. Together we evaluated my progress and goals and he continued to make adjustments to my workout program. In a little over a year, I have reached my goal weight and my body fat is down to 21% from 35%.
I have had other personal trainers in the past, but Steven is by far the best. I can proudly say that after two children, I am now in the best shape of my life. He has given me so much knowledge not only regarding best exercise practices for my goals and body type, but in the area of nutrition as well. I cannot state enough that any person would benefit having him as their trainer.

Steven’s training with me was excellent. He had a plan. I needed one because I was coming off of a back injury. One caused because of a previous trainer’s recklessness.
Steven was very patient, worked with where I was and got me to a much better place, with both flexibility and strength.
I’ve had a lot of trainers over the years, and I’d put Steven at the top of the list. He knows his stuff! He even did a great work-up for me that outlined nutrition, diet, and of course, exercise!
