Training philosophy

I am a firm believer in hybrid training. In order to elicit the greatest changes in strength, mobility, muscular and cardiovascular endurance, balance and physique a person needs a well-rounded program.

A typical session

A client can expect a 10-15 minute warm up consisting of: dynamic stretches, core and glute activation and mobility strength exercises. The structure of the workout (i.e. sets and reps) will be tailored to the individual’s goals however, I will always put an emphasis on unilateral exercises as I have discovered that these are one of the most beneficial ways in order to work out imbalances in the body. Towards the end of the workout, I will implement various agility and plyometric exercises that increase muscular and cardiovascular fitness. I like to focus on anaerobic fitness at the beginning of the workout and focus on aerobic fitness at the end. I believe the cool down is equally as important as the warm up so I will lead my client through static stretches at the very end.

Client success story

One of my favorite client success stories involved a woman who started weight training for the very first time at 50 years old. She has been training with me for the past six years and has broken state records in powerlifting and looks and feels younger than ever!
