About Daniel

I am a passionate coach, trainer, and friend. Through my pursuit to play pro baseball I have become knowledgeable in the field of personal training. For 12 years I trained with my own personal trainer. I learned and demonstrated effective strength and conditioning exercises. After college baseball, I pursued working in a school while I grew my private baseball lessons up to 56 hours a week. Since moving to Chicago in 2018, I have been NASM Personal Training Certified x2 and am currently in the process of getting my Qi Gong- Teacher Training Certification and Yoga 200 Certification. I have worked for 4 major gyms; River North Gym, LifeStart Corporate Fitness, LA Fitness and Esporta. I taught weekly group fitness classes and held private sessions. For 9 summers, I have worked for The Brewers Baseball Academy. working with kids 6-14yo. Not only do I have experience with young athletes, I have experience with obese elderly and the general adult population.

Training philosophy

Connection with our heart mind and body to know where to focus.

A typical session

High intensity interval training; we will raise the heart rate then practice staying calm and lowering it through breathing techniques. The term is ” Loose, relaxed, released” and you can never be enough. We must work out and work in. Baseball sessions can include pitching, throwing, fielding, on field hitting, cage hitting, tee work, ground balls etc. I teach qi gong, yoga, bmx biking, skateboarding, rollerblading/ ice hockey, paintballing, juggling, rock climbing, running, swimming, tennis and love trees for pull up bars.

Client success story

I can transform a struggling little leaguer into a confident smiling power hitter. I am excellent with kids of all ages. I have years experience, in and out of the schools, working with big highly autistic boys. I have helped high schoolers make their varsity and helped 20 middle aged women stay fit 9×2 a week) for over a year. My proudest moment was teaching Grandma Debra (80 yo) how to breath correctly. Her eyes brightened and her family members were ecstatic at her new alertness and energy.
