About Samantha Barnes
Fitness began as a passion of mine after I joined a gym to become healthier. Weighing in at 242lbs with risks of diabetes and heart disease that run fluent in my family I was determined to fight back. Beginning my journey as a newbie to the gym I quickly realized a trainer would be an incredible asset so I used my free session to become comfortable with all the equipment. After a few weeks I tried my hand at group fitness and fell in love with it all! That first class I decided I was going to teach fitness and that it was what I truly wanted to do. Attaining my certifications I began utilizing my new found knowledge to transform my own body first before taking on clients. This was a personal development for me so that I would be the best trainer possible by going through the process myself. It has been so rewarding and I’m excited to take on new clients!
Hourly rate: $60
Session cancellation: 24 hours notice required

Typical Training Session
Reviewing nutrition guidelines and workouts since our last session. Making note of changes, injures, or other things that need to be addressed. Completing a workout and ending with a revised action plan from that session forward.

In North Carolina where I began my amazing career I hosted a 6 week weigh loss challenge group to new comers. This program was designed specifically for those who are intimidated, shy, or do not know what to do at the gym. My first session I had a Mrs. Jones who was determined to become overall healthier but mainly bring her body fat percentage down. Through resistance training, strength training, and sprinkled with cardio session that fit her body type she lost 16% body fat! She started from getting off the couch and coming to my program and ending with being healthier and comfortable with doing her own workouts in the gym without my help! To this day I am absolutely amazed by her!
