I am a high energy, motivational, passionate young man who strives to make exercise fun, functional and goal oriented. I recently launched a meal prep and personal training company with a friend and we are hoping to bring our expertise and passion to everyone who is interested. I have almost 4 years of personal training experience with individuals of all different experience, age and goals. I have experience training older clients who are looking for help get back into shape, regain balance strength, and to help with prehab/injury prevention. As well as younger athletes who are looking to increase stamina, strength and endurance. And the average individual who is looking for help learning how to do exercises correctly, come up with a focused plan to achieve goals, and ways to make exercise fun!
I believe in providing a training regimen that is goal orientated, functional, efficient and able to be done on your own wherever the client may be.
My main focus is what the client hopes to accomplish. From day 1 I like to help the client set goals, both long and short term, and how the client is going to work to achieve them, with benchmarks along the way. I like to start the session doing a quick 3-5 minute warm up consisting of ballistic stretching to get the muscles warmed up and the blood pumping. During the warm up we will chat about progress, exercises that are working and aren’t, and the plan for the work out of the day. We will work on strength training/ any area the client is looking for help in for 50 minutes. Usually set in a circuit fashion, with 3-4 exercises in each circuit. The last 5-7 minutes will be dynamic and passive stretching. Going over the exercises we just completed, and things for the client to work on in between meetings.
My proudest success story is actually with a good friend Alex I helped train. He came to me looking for help getting his diet under control, learning functional strength training exercises, and different variations of cardio to help him drop weight. Alex was 420 lbs when we started working together, he is now 260 lbs after 18 months and doing things he could never imagine himself doing again!
