Typical Training Session

Active warm-up, strength training mixed with intervals of cardio, followed by cool down and stretching. Modifications available for easier or more challenging exercises. Periodic assessments will be given every few weeks to track progress and aid in setting short and long term fitness goals. Following the ACE Integrated Fitness Training Model and ChooseMyPlate.gov as a general nutrition reference.

Client success story

A female client (30s) had a neurological disorder that compromised balance and stability, but her doctor cleared her for physical activity. After 8 weeks, at 2 sessions per week, her core stability improved and with assisted footwork using a bosu ball and resistance bands, her peripheral motor control and leg strength improved to the point of executing a squat without holding onto a stability bar.

A female senior client (65+) who had limited mobility and range of motion, after 6 weeks taking my Silver Sneakers class using chair aerobics and functional strength training twice a week, was able to do more activities of daily living, like tying her shoes and unloading heavier groceries, without assistance.

A male client (50s) was a regular at a gym where I worked. He had lower back pain and poor flexibility. After 8 weeks of active stretching added to his usual workouts, paired with exercises that complemented large muscle groups to balance posture and alignment, he was able to touch his toes and had decreased back pain.
