About Howard Skora


Hello, my name is Howard Skora and I’m a Certified Personal Trainer in the West LA area. I’ve been in practice as a personal trainer for over 25 years.
I truly love my job. I have studied with some of the greatest trainers in fitness. I’ve competed in the IFBB as a bodybuilder and now, I’m a big fan and student of holistic fitness and wellness. I mix old school resistance training with cutting edge fitness hacks to get my clients to their goals.

I have a small, private gym in West LA and one in Venice. I can also travel to you. My list of certifications is below.

Typical Training Session

My main objective is always meeting your needs and designing the best overall program for you. I start by listening to you. We figure out the obstacles and what will actually work for your situation. Whatever your goal is — we will get there.

The time you spend in the gym is a very small part of your health plan. The gym will not erase a poor diet, lack of sleep or mismanagement of stress.

For optimal health, you will meet the 4 Doctors in your own body and mind:
1) Dr. Happy
2) Dr. Quiet
3) Dr. Diet
4) Dr. Movement
You will have an action plan to talk with all 4 for your optimal health — mind, body and soul.

My own personal workout involves old-school resistance training at Golds Gym/-Venice and more unconventional fitness such a Tai Chi, Steel Mace Flow and Indian Gada and Clubs.
