I fell in love with exercise through forms of alternative fitness. I first ventured into dance classes, yoga classes, and then low-level partner acrobatics. After gaining experience in the latter two, I received both my yoga teacher training certificate and a personal training certificate. I decided that bringing fitness to all ages and abilities was something I was passionate about. Since then, I have been teaching adults from 18-100, and specifically personal training adults 55+. The majority of adults I work with have experienced major joint replacement surgeries or other challenges such as arthritis, bursitis, tears, osteoporosis, etc. It is important to emphasize the ability for all of us to continue to work out through older age as it is imperative to both our longevity and, just as importantly, our independence.
Hourly rate: $60
Session cancellation: 24 hours notice required
First session is FREE
I can build a session around whatever is available to you and your ability level. I am comfortable adapting anything from bodyweight exercises to a variety of equipment (bands, dumbbells, etc.). I enjoy incorporating mindful movement and stretching to make a well-rounded workout.
I currently train a woman who is 86 years old and has underwent two hip replacement surgeries within the past year. She was pleased to share that she exceeded her doctor’s expectations and completed her Physical Therapy sessions early. She completely attributes the positive recovery of her surgeries to her dedication to our training sessions.
