About Jeff W

Hello! I’ve been a trainer for 14 years, a running coach and a fitness/running enthusiast for my whole life. My thyroid journey (read my website bio for more) led me to a much deeper version of myself, that has allowed empathy and knowledge to help others on a deeper level as well. I work with those wanting to get stronger, or faster, more injury resilient and those that want a better life. I have clients that are just wanting to play and pick up their grandkids and that’s a really fun goal to help them with. Read more below.

Training Philosophy
I believe that the world we live in is both amazing and a mess at the same time. To do life well, you need to be fit and healthy. I LOVE talking about the more philosophical pieces to our health and wellness world and I'd love to help you on your journey.

Training Professionally Since
March 25, 2011

Typical Training Session

I have a 10-15 minute warm-up, typically a little bit of cardio (some machine or body-weight movements), along with more mat focused mobiltiy and activation exercises. Then we’ll go into our strength or cardio portion of the workout. Depending on the person, this typically encompasses about 35-40 minutes of the sesson. Then we’ll finish with either stretching or a HIIT/cardio finish to end the day with a bang!

Client success story

One of my favorite moments was when a several year long client told me they could play with their grandkid at 61-62 years old, and the other grandparents were unable to. She felt so full that should could do this (she’s about 92lbs and healthy too just fyi) and that it didn’t hurt her and that she could keep going all day. I didn’t know until after this, what it looked like in a person’s face, when something so simple impacted their life. I realized it’s just not that easy for everyone to experience those small, but big wins in their life.

Hobbies
I love running. Recently got into trail running. Learning to play the guitar. Love movies, comedy, reading and games.
