Get to know this week’s RightFit Personal Training featured trainer, Cody Wescott. He newly relocated to Austin, TX from Washington, DC. and is happy to bring his brand of fitness to Austin! He grew up an athlete, playing baseball, basketball, golf, and rugby. Currently, he is devoting his time to learning the sport of Crossfit and he hopes to compete on a high level very soon.

Why did you become a personal trainer?

Passion for Fitness and the life changing effects a healthy lifestyle has done for me and others around me.

What are your favorite things about being a personal trainer?

It is a fun job, people are extremely grateful and seeing the life changing results.

If you could train one celebrity, who would it be and why? 

The Rock. He has the reputation for being the Hardest worker in the room – I want to see it for myself!

If you had one workout style to describe yourself, what would it be? 

One Rep Max Squat – I truly believe strength is the most important aspect of physical fitness and the squat being the number one move in fitness. Also when putting a bar on your back it’s very gratifying to have the weight of the world on your shoulders and be able to lift it.

In your mind, what is the single biggest benefit for someone to hire a personal trainer?

I have seen many people blow away by the effectiveness of a good personal trainer, I don’t think there is only one single benefit because hiring a personal trainer will change your quality of life in every way possible.

What are your hobbies?

Weight Lifting (Obviously), Reading, Golf, Spending time with my girlfriend, Food and Travel
