About Tom G

I have ten years experience as a Personal trainer. I was a trainer at the YMCA for five years, and for the last five years I have been running my own business training people at their homes. I have helped my clients to gain functional strength, increase mobility and flexibility , decrease joint and muscle pain, and reach a variety of fitness goals. I’ve worked with clients from 15-80 plus years old. I have experience with many types of prior injuries and diagnosis including: hip, knee, shoulder, back, trigger points, tight muscles, hamstring, quads, fibromyalgia, diabetes, arthritis, etc. I always strive to have my clients feeling better after a session with me and that’s where my great successes are.

The usual session includes any corrective or myofascial/trigger point interventions needed, any flexibility and mobility training, then on to strength training or working on any other client goals, may conclude with some more myofascial work as needed (foam rolling, lacrosse ball etc.) Sessions are very specific to client goals and needs.

Client success story

Clients have experienced fat/weight loss (body composition improvements) less pain (hips, back, shoulders, knees etc.), less need for medications (for rheumatoid arthritis in one client) better overall movement and functional strength (moving furniture, carrying bags of cat food or livestock feed, groceries etc.) gains in muscle (hypertrophy).
