About Matthew

I am a graduate of Salem State University with a B.S. in Exercise Science. I am A.C.E. Certified and have been personal training for over ten years. I do personal training and small group training with an emphasis on variety and keeping workout exciting. As part of personal training, I tailor workouts to the specific needs of each individual, keeping injuries and personal goals in mind. I am committed to helping my clients become the best versions of themselves through exercise and living healthier lifestyles. My knowledge and a strong passion for fitness are a direct reflection of my clients achieving their personal fitness as well as mental goals. Recently I started my own personal training business, Optimal Fitness, with the hope of branching out further on my quest to better the lives of my clients. In my spare time I write blogs on trending topics about both fitness and nutrition, mainly an emphasis on nutrition. Recently I’ve had blogs published on such sites as trainerize.

Training philosophy

"The more you hate me during the session, the more you will love me after"

A typical session

A typical training session consists of being yelled at, berated, and insulted. No, i’m just kidding about 2/3 of those. You will however be pushed and educated in every way possible. Reaching the goals that you want does not come easy. I will ensure, however, that you reach those goals because I might care more than you do.

Client success story

“Do you want to live a better life? Would you like to be proud of yourself when you see yourself staring back at you in the mirror? Is it possible to understand the correlation between being fit and nutrition? Are you up to actually achieving more physically and mentally than you ever thought possible? Then Optimal Fitness is your absolute answer. You will sweat. You will achieve. You will smile and even laugh. You will learn. And you will live a better life. Matt Quigley is an absolute life changer. Commit and you WILL succeed.” -Barbara Schiavone Barbara was your typical mom, not happy with how she looked or how she felt. In less than a year she lost 70 lbs. and became one of the happiest people you would have the pleasure of meeting. This is just one of many as I have had 10+ clients lose over 100 lbs. and 20+ clients lose over 50 lbs.
