About Larry Maloney

I got in to fitness after losing over 100lbs on my own and never looked back. In my personal life I love exploring other forms of exercise. I have experience in parkour, extreme sports, trapeze, rock climbing, adventure racing, mud runs, fitness competitions, mountain biking, swimming, and hiking. I also love training powerlifting and olympic lifting. I have practiced various martial arts and have studied hand to hand as well as Jiu Jitsu.

Training Philosophy
To find the balance of what works for you, what you like doing and what you need to reach your goals.

Training Professionally Since

Typical Training Session

To connect on a personal level as well as professional. We’ll work together to find the type of workout that you can enjoy while working on the items that you need to work on. I am not the type of trainer that will yell at you or get in your face but I will ask that you push yourself to finish those last couple of reps but I’m also cognisant of when I need to pull back a little bit and adjust the workout. A typical hour session will consist of about 10 minutes of warm up and mobility, 40 minutes of workout (with small breaks worked in) and then about 5-10 minutes of cooldown and stretching.

Client success story

I had a highschool student who had a tumour removed from his leg and was unable to run and or do anything very dynamic as far as lower body is concerned. Before he left for college we had worked up to a 275lb deadlift and was squatting regularly.

I also have a client who works in technology and had very poor mobility and posture from hunching over a computer so much. We have increased his hip and low back mobility immensely and have pulled his shoulder back and made huge strides in his posture. He moves really well these days and has a lot less day to day aches and pains.

Hobbies
I love anything superhero related, video games on my xbox, I love to paint and spend time outdoors with my family
