About Kuang Chen


Dr. Kuang has been a fitness professional for 10+ years. He originally ran a sports performance studio in NY where he coached youth athletes, high level collegiate athletes, and professionals (NFL, MMA, Lacrosse, and dancers). He came to the Midwest to study for a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Washington University in Saint Louis. He spent time at the University of Florida (Go Gators!) working at their running clinic and also on the physical therapy team that took care of the football, swimming/diving, and track/field athletes. His later training helped him specialize in the care of hips and spines.

In his earlier years, Kuang competed in 15 bodybuilding shows over a 10 year period and although he is no longer actively competing he remains involved in coaching competitors by creating training/nutrition plans, teaching posing, and judging a few competitions each year with the NANBF and IPE bodybuilding federations.


Regardless of your current relationship with fitness or who you are (weekend warrior, high level athlete, mom or dad, business executive with a busy schedule, person in chronic pain, pre/post natal mom, bride to be, young or old) Kuang can help make it a healthy part of your life. Typical Training Session

We will start with a dynamic warmup that features a set of stretches custom tailored to address any movement deficits. . For the main part of the workout there will be a fun blend of familiar movements and some dashes of new and novel ones to expand your fitness repertoire. Consistency and continued practice are important for improvement, but it is also important to have fun and stay engaged. The style of workouts are designed to fit your specific goals and consider your preferences. If you tell me what you want to achieve, I will get you there. I will push you when you are ready and when you need to be pushed. I’m a teacher first, a friend second, and a motivator always.
