About Nashley Mattocks

As a personal trainer, I am the “queen of small victories”. I work together with clients to develop, attain, and celebrate small achievements. These incremental changes enable my clients to change behaviors over time so they can achieve the body and lifestyle they desire, sustainably. Periodic training sessions are supported by a meal plan designed to build natural energy from clean foods and drive optimal results.

One of my personal passions is dance and I have an extensive dance background with 13 years experience dancing with professional performance for 3 years in Chicago. I have a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from East Carolina University, and specifically studied injury prevention by methods of yoga and muscular imbalance, and cross-training for dancers.

With a new year beginning, I know many people will be eager to embark on new personal goals for fitness and heath. I can meet with clients at a gym, common areas outdoors, or in their private residences to develop a personalized training plan that is tailored to their lifestyle and available resources.

Training Professionally Since
September 25, 2017

Typical Training Session

A typical hour session with begin with light weight movements or light cardio for a full body warm up. We will rotate muscle groups with circuits to get the most impact out of the time set aside for training. A circuit will usually be two or three different exercises measured by time or reps, where each of the exercises target the same muscles or goal in a different way. In an hour, my goal is to train the muscle to lift, push and work to its full energy potential that day, so that it begins to learn how to take on more work next time around. I will include full body and cardio, “push muscles” or the front of the body, “pull muscles” or the back of the body, and stabilizers (legs and core) in rotations between sessions. Following our training, and in between sessions, I expect you to continue the work by means of a clean diet and incorporated cardio practice, which we will discuss.
