About Aaron Osteen

I grew up in Waxahachie, Texas, playing a multitude of sports including soccer, baseball, basketball, football and power tumbling. I attended Texas Tech University to pursue my dream of working in the sports industry and helping others. While at Tech, I was a teaching assistant in such classes as exercise physiology and resistance training and conditioning. I interned Baylor Tom Landry in Dallas, Texas working with the personal trainers and helping with member retention. I’ve worked with both athletes and non-athletes and believes that every individual is unique. With a focus on health management, my goal is to motivate clients through fun and effective exercise routines and nutritional guidelines that not only meet, but also exceed, clients’ expectations. I also do NKT (NeuroKinetic Therapy) and P-DTR (Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex). These are neuromuscular therapies that help my clients with acute and chronic pain. They also help increase strength and functional performance.

Typical Training Session

A typical training session is hard to describe because each client is unique. I train each of my clients according to what we have discussed during their assessment. I always start with an assessment to determine where to start. I also like to get a client history to learn about injuries so I can incorporate neuromuscular training. Sometimes, I do very high intensity sessions and other times we do mobility work and stretching depending on the situation.

Client success story

My favorite client success story comes from Leslie. She hired me to help her train at home because she worked from home. She wasn’t in bad shape, but wanted to lose body fat and get back to her high school weight. We worked out twice a week and made minor tweaks to her diet, such as getting rid of Dr Pepper. In six months, she lost just over 6 percent body fat! She not only shed unwanted weight (16 lbs) but she also toned and tightened her arms, abs, and butt just like she wanted. She was so happy to see how easy it was when she learned to apply herself and stick with it. I always explain to clients that you don’t gain weight overnight and you’re not going to lose it that way either. She’s perfect proof of that!

Hobbies
I enjoy woodworking, rock climbing and of course any athletic activity.
