Kim is a Registered 500 Hour Yoga Teacher (RYT 500) who is passionate about bringing the joy of yoga to people’s lives. Kim believes that yoga isn’t just a practice that happens on the yoga mat during class, but can translate to all aspects of life to allow those to feel more calm and grounded. Kim has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and has been teaching for 1.5 years. Her teaching includes Heated Power Yoga, Heated Vinyasa, Vinyasa Flow, Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Vin/Yin, Restorative & Yoga Nidra.

A client can expect a full circular experience within their train. Proper warming up through slow yoga poses allows the breathe and body to be warmed from within and then we moved into a more alignment focused flow to allow the student to have time feel their physical bodies. We then move into a more Vinyasa style flow, linking breathe to movement to allow the student to feel the flow and fluidity within their bodies as they practice the flow. The student will then cool down and gentle stretching allows the student to prepare for their savasana.
In many of my private and group classes I work with students on a similar flow for several weeks and add onto the flow as we progress. One of my favorite stories of working with students in this way was with an older gentleman, who after years and years of work was finally able to attain crow position and literally almost had tears in his eyes when he came up from the pose. We had broken down the pose and worked slowly on all the fundamental aspects to allow him to really learn his body and to trust himself. The reward for all that work was his first crow and being able to feel confident in supporting this pose within his body and practice.
